The Miner Outfit is a fairly useful armor set, especially in darkness. Very good defenses, and while it doesn't have any resistances, it has other uses.
While the armor set doesn't seem to be much compared to the others, the hat has the special ability of creating a beam of light wherever the player is looking. It is very useful underground and at night, freeing a hand that would be used to hold a light source while exploring.
The body piece is currently craftable by a Tailor - Outfitter specialist at level 9, or obtainable as a random drop from debris in underground ruins. It has been observed to drop in Underground Depots, but may spawn in others.
