Pickaxe

There are various pickaxes and tools used for mining and removing placed structures. The first Crude pickaxe is obtained automatically upon making a world and upon respawning and can be found in most Drop Pods.

The pickaxe is used to break basic tiles, including workstations, plants, and furniture. It cannot break higher-tier ores or blocks, you will need the Mining Pickaxe or the Drill instead.

Colonists will require a pickaxe to perform mining tasks.
